John Woodley
Coach John brings over 30 years experience as a coach to AVO. He is a former Division-1 soccer player and is currently also the Head Coach for Manchester Valley High School Men's Varsity Soccer Program. He currently holds a USSF National-C Coaching License. In his words,
"My training philosophy is to inspire a player’s inner-drive and self-preparation through individual skills and team development. My training sessions are organized, challenging, repetitive, game-like, and refined with effective situational coaching.
I teach an aggressive, within the rules, ball on the ground style of play. I teach players to become active students of the game that understand key reads for each line of play based on the 3rd of the field focus. I help inspire good and successful people that understand
the importance of the on and off the field balance necessary for a great life experience."
